We are living in the whirlwind right now as we get ready to leave in just a few days. My dad asked me on the day our court case was approved "What have you learned from this experience?" I told him that would be a long blog post and that it would have to wait until I:
1. buy Goldfish, pretzels, Gerbers puffs, etc. etc. etc. to entertain little girls on the plane
2. figure out about international cell phone service
3. find "mom shoes" that are functionally appropriate for chasing toddlers around in a third world country and yet still stylishly acceptable (this is the big one right now...not sure if these shoes actually exist...)
And the list goes on. But it's a GOOD list to be finally checking off.
I wanted to ask for your urgent prayers this weekend for a group of families at America World Adoption. There are four families who need ONE SIGNATURE on Monday in order to finally get their kids. If they don't get it, they may be delayed for quite some time.
We have learned that God DOES work miracles. Would you join us this weekend in praying for these families to be made whole on Monday?

Hi there! What a joy to hear your news! Praise the Lord - He is moving. We will continue to keep up with your journey!
We received a new court assignment.. not until April 6.
We are pretty bummed - but trusting in the Lord. Thanks for your prayers! Safe travels-- and oh! ballet flats make GREAT mom shoes... comfy and cute! I think I have at at least 10 pairs in every color you can think of! :)
Sarah and Davis,
Still rejoicing withyou and your precious daughters. I will be praying for you and the familes and children caught up in this court battle. I know of and have been praying for the 2 families you created links to and I will be praying for the other 2 also. I don't know their names and stories but God does.
Love and hugs and prayers,
Debi
Thanks SO MUCH for this, Sarah and Davis! We need your prayers. Just to clarify, Micah David is our little man and there's only 1 other family, the Semlows who are adopting the other three (they are our heroes!!).
It's so nice to know that those who love the Lord are praying hard with us for these walls to come down. Whatever may come our God is so good to His children and is preparing a way for us to Ethiopia.
Thanks Again,
Kim Kulp
Yippppeeeee!!!! Okay...Toms shoes are the bomb. I'm sure you've heard of them - great shoes - great story/mission behind them. I wear them - as do all of my kiddos.
Safe travels - I will be praying and thinking of you ALL! Can't wait to see pics of you guys at HOME :)
Lastly up on the Crayola color wonder books/markers for the plane ride - they are lifesavers. And of course, a portable DVD player and 2 sets of headphones!

So exciting! We will definitely be praying for the other families today. And, I agree, Tom's shoes are the best (plus it goes toward a good cause :)

SOAK IT IN!! take as many pictures and videotape as much as you possibly can while you are there! drink in your child's first country!! there is SO much to digest and process! i wish i would have better absorbed it all while i had the chance! I'm soooo thrilled for you!!
We've added their names into our Altar Prayer for Monday-September 23, 2009. We pray and believe in faith! God our Father is doing more than we can process in our brains and in our spirits!!!
